Scientists map immune defenses in rare disease patients

Summary

This study aims to learn more about the immune system in people with Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD), a rare genetic condition that weakens the body's ability to fight infections. Researchers will collect blood samples from about 60 adults and children with CGD to measure their levels of antibodies against adenoviruses and other inflammation markers. The goal is to gather information to help guide future research, not to test a treatment.
