Study tests best way to dose insulin for CF diabetes

NCT ID NCT04533646

Summary

This study aimed to find the best way to dose meal-time insulin for adults with cystic fibrosis-related diabetes. Researchers compared two common methods: counting carbohydrates versus giving a fixed dose. They used continuous glucose monitors to see which method kept blood sugar in a healthy range more often and caused fewer low blood sugar events.
