Simple cut during C-Section could stop painful scar complications
NCT ID NCT07228858
Summary
This study tested whether cutting out the old scar from a previous C-section during a repeat C-section surgery could prevent a painful complication called a 'uterine niche.' 170 women having a repeat C-section were randomly assigned to either have the old scar removed or to have the standard surgery. The main goal was to see if this extra step reduced niche formation without making the surgery riskier.
