Race to stop C-Section blood pressure crashes: which drug protects mom and baby best?

NCT ID NCT07363109

Summary

This study aims to find the best medicine to prevent a sudden, dangerous drop in blood pressure that often happens during planned C-sections under spinal anesthesia. Researchers will compare two drugs, metaraminol and norepinephrine, given by IV drip to 80 healthy pregnant adults. The goal is to see which one keeps the mother's blood pressure more stable and leads to better outcomes for the newborn.
