Heat damage during cervical surgery could skew results – new study aims to find the best technique

Summary
This study looks at how different surgical methods for removing abnormal cervical tissue affect heat-related damage to the tissue sample. About 150 women needing a cervical cone biopsy will be randomly assigned to one of three electrosurgery techniques. The goal is to see which method causes the least thermal artifact, so pathologists can get a clearer picture for diagnosis.
