Can your head position predict back muscle strength? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07240090
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how forward head posture relates to trunk muscle strength and body awareness in people with cervical radiculopathy—a condition where a pinched nerve in the neck causes pain that travels down the arm. Researchers will measure head angle, trunk strength, and balance in 64 adults aged 30–55. The goal is to understand how neck problems affect the whole body, which could lead to better rehabilitation exercises.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help design better physical therapy programs for people with neck pain radiating to the arm.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study with only 64 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. It measures relationships, not treatments.
