Neck sense study: can your head position affect how you feel pain?

NCT ID NCT06559397

First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at how well healthy young adults (ages 18-25) can sense the position of their head and whether that relates to body awareness and pain sensitivity. Researchers measured neck position accuracy and then tested pain thresholds and body awareness using questionnaires and pressure devices. The goal was to better understand these connections, not to provide any treatment.
