Researchers probe why neck pain cripples hand skills

NCT ID NCT07282522

Summary

This study aims to understand how a herniated disc in the neck affects a person's pain sensitivity, fear of movement, and ability to use their hands and arms. Researchers will compare 64 people with chronic neck pain from a diagnosed disc problem to healthy individuals without neck issues. The goal is to measure differences in touch perception, pain thresholds, and functional skills to build a better picture of the condition.
