New study explores hidden effects of neck disc problems on daily arm use
NCT ID NCT07282522
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at how cervical disc herniation (a slipped disc in the neck) changes the way people feel touch and pain, and how it affects their fear of movement and arm skills. Researchers will compare 64 adults with neck pain to healthy volunteers using tests like hand dexterity and pressure pain. The goal is to better understand these connections, not to test a new treatment.
