New blood test aims to improve cervical cancer detection

NCT ID NCT07480902

Summary

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of the standard Pap smear test with a new blood test for detecting abnormal cervical cells and early signs of cervical cancer. Researchers will enroll 558 women aged 18-85 to undergo both tests, along with a detailed colposcopy exam. The goal is to see if the new molecular blood test can be a useful tool for screening.
