Can patient navigators and At-Home tests boost cervical cancer screening?

NCT ID NCT06943547

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study in Puerto Rico tests whether patient navigators (who help women overcome barriers like transportation) and at-home HPV self-testing can increase cervical cancer screening. About 1,400 women aged 25-65 who are overdue for screening will be randomly assigned to different support strategies. The goal is to find cost-effective ways to catch cancer early and reduce health disparities.
