First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to prevent cervical cancer using a rapid HPV test that gives results in under an hour. Women in Honduras will collect their own samples and, if needed, receive same-day follow-up imaging and treatment. The goal is to make screening faster and more accessible, especially in low-resource areas where most cervical cancer cases occur.
