Fast HPV test could revolutionize cervical cancer prevention in developing world

NCT ID NCT07232355

Summary

This study aims to prevent cervical cancer by testing a new, faster screening strategy in Honduras. It will evaluate a self-collected HPV test that gives results in under an hour, allowing for potential same-day treatment of pre-cancerous cells. The goal is to see if this approach is effective, practical, and affordable for low-resource countries where cervical cancer is a major cause of death.
