Scientists grow 'Mini-Tumors' to spare women harsh cancer treatments

NCT ID NCT07248878

Summary

This study aims to create tiny 3D models called 'organoids' from the cervical cancer tissue of 24 patients. These mini-tumors will be grown in a lab to act as patient 'avatars' for testing how real tumors might respond to different drugs. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help doctors choose the most effective treatment for each person and reduce the need for harsh radiation therapy.
