Artificial neck disc tested as alternative to fusion surgery

NCT ID NCT01433367

Summary

This study aimed to see how well a new artificial disc (CerPass) worked for people with painful, single-level cervical disc disease in their neck. It was for adults aged 18-60 who had not improved with at least 6 weeks of other treatments like physical therapy. The main goal was to check if the device successfully reduced disability and pain, and maintained neck movement, two years after surgery.
