First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive technique called remote ischemic conditioning (RIC) — brief cycles of inflating and deflating a blood pressure cuff on the arm — combined with balance training can improve spinal reflexes and balance in children with cerebral palsy (CP). Sixteen children ages 8-17 with CP will participate. The goal is to see if this combination can reduce spasticity and enhance motor function.
