First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study watches 40 adults having shoulder surgery in a semi-sitting position to see if a special brain oxygen monitor (NIRS) gives useful information beyond standard vital signs. Researchers will compare NIRS readings with heart rate, blood pressure, and blood gas results. The goal is to learn whether NIRS can help detect low brain oxygen levels during these procedures.
