Can a moisturizer make skin glow? tiny study aims to find out
NCT ID NCT07423325
First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 20, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study will test whether special skin measurement devices can reliably detect changes in skin hydration, glow, and texture after applying a ceramide-containing moisturizer. Fifteen adults with dry, sensitive skin will use the cream on one side of their face and water on the other. The goal is to validate the tools, not to prove the moisturizer works.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
CeraVe Moisturizer (ceramide-containing cream)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could help validate tools for measuring skin hydration and glow in future skincare research.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early validation study with only 15 people, so results may not apply broadly. It tests measurement methods, not treatment effectiveness.
As listed by the trial registrant
