3-Year watch: can this bone filler beat tough infections?

NCT ID NCT06555848

Summary

This study follows patients for three years after surgery to treat chronic bone infections (osteomyelitis). Doctors use a special antibiotic-releasing bone filler called CERAMENT G during a single operation to fill the space left after removing infected bone. Researchers want to see if this approach successfully controls the infection long-term and allows healthy new bone to grow back in place of the filler.
