First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study looks at 315 critically ill adults whose neck veins are small or collapse when they breathe, making it hard to place a central line. Doctors will compare three different insertion sites using ultrasound to see which one works best on the first try. The goal is to find the safest and most effective approach for these difficult cases.
