Summary

This observational study looks at how the central nervous system processes pain in people with type 2 diabetes who have nerve damage. Researchers will compare those with painful diabetic neuropathy to those without pain, using pressure tests and questionnaires. The goal is to better understand why some people develop chronic pain while others do not. The study involves 128 adults aged 18–80 with type 2 diabetes for at least one year.
