Massive study tracks dangerous hospital catheter complications
NCT ID NCT07367620
Summary
This study aims to understand how often serious complications occur when doctors insert central line catheters in hospitals. Researchers will analyze data from 29,500 patients who received these catheters during normal medical care to identify which factors increase the risk of dangerous bleeding, lung collapse, or nerve damage. The goal is to create better safety guidelines by learning from real-world hospital experiences.
