New hope for kids with epilepsy: testing promising seizure medication

Summary
This study is testing whether cenobamate (brand name Xcopri) is safe and effective for children aged 2-17 who have partial-onset (focal) seizures. Researchers will give the medication to 140 children who are already taking 1-3 other seizure drugs to see if it helps reduce seizures. The study will also check how the body processes the medicine and whether children find the tablet or liquid form acceptable to take.
