New lupus drug trial seeks to tame immune system

Summary

This study is testing the safety and how the body processes a new drug called cenerimod in Chinese adults with moderate-to-severe lupus. Participants will take a daily pill for up to a year while continuing their current lupus medications. The main goal is to see if the drug is safe and well-tolerated, and to measure its levels in the blood and its effect on certain immune cells.
