First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This phase 3 study tests whether a nasal spray containing a human nerve growth factor (cenegermin) can improve vision in adults who recently lost sight due to a condition called NAION, which is like a stroke of the optic nerve. About 272 participants will receive either the active spray or a placebo for a short time. The main goal is to see if more people gain at least 15 letters on an eye chart with the treatment.
