New drug tested to stop rare skin cancer from spreading

NCT ID NCT07387198

Summary

This study is testing whether a drug called cemiplimab, given before surgery, can help control early-stage Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare and aggressive skin cancer. It will involve about 135 adults whose main tumor has been removed but who are still waiting for a lymph node biopsy. The main goal is to see if the treatment reduces the chance of the cancer spreading to nearby lymph nodes.
