Using your own cells to fight untreatable heart pain

NCT ID NCT03455725

Summary

This trial is testing a new cell therapy for people with severe chest pain (angina) that doesn't respond to standard medications or procedures. Researchers are injecting a patient's own processed bone marrow cells directly into the heart muscle to see if it improves their ability to exercise and reduces their pain. The study compares this treatment to a sham procedure to determine if the benefits are real.
