Scientists test Patient's own cells to fight Diabetes-Related kidney damage

NCT ID NCT06866158

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing whether a one-time injection of a patient's own specially prepared immune cells can help control diabetic kidney disease. The study will enroll 80 adults with type 2 diabetes who show early signs of kidney damage (albuminuria). Researchers aim to see if this cell-based therapy can reduce protein in the urine and improve kidney health by targeting inflammation and blood vessel function.
