Groundbreaking trial tests if Kids' own cells can heal brain damage

NCT ID NCT07527104

Summary

This study is testing whether using a child's own bone marrow cells, injected into the spinal fluid, can help improve movement and function in young children with brain damage caused by lack of oxygen or bleeding in the brain. Children in the study will either receive the cell transplant plus standard rehabilitation therapy, or rehabilitation therapy alone. Researchers will compare the two groups to see if the cell treatment is safe and helps children move better over a year.
