Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether injecting a patient's own cultured disc cells back into a damaged spinal disc is safe and can help. The trial will enroll 12 adults with chronic low back pain from a single degenerated disc who are already scheduled for a specific disc surgery. Researchers will check for safety issues and see if the treatment reduces pain and improves disc health over a year.
