Summary
This study aims to understand how well a common antibiotic (cefazolin) reaches the chest area in young children after heart surgery. Researchers will place a tiny probe during surgery to measure antibiotic levels directly in the tissue over 28 hours. The goal is to gather information that could help doctors better prevent serious chest infections in these vulnerable patients.
