Scientists test new shot to fight deadly diarrhea virus

NCT ID NCT06485258

Summary

This study tested a new type of rotavirus vaccine given as a shot, not a liquid. The goal was to see if it was safe and if it triggered an immune response in healthy adults. Fifty participants received three injections over two months and were monitored for side effects and antibody levels. This early-phase research aims to develop a more effective vaccine to protect infants, especially in areas where current oral vaccines don't work as well.
