Scientists hunt for hidden clues in blood to unlock mystery of rare breathing disease
NCT ID NCT06997146
Summary
This study aims to understand Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome (CCHS), a rare disorder where people don't breathe automatically, especially during sleep. Researchers will collect and analyze blood and urine samples from 40 adults with CCHS and healthy volunteers to look for biological differences. The goal is to find markers that explain the disease and could one day lead to new treatments.
