Scientists hunt for blood clues to mysterious jaw pain
NCT ID NCT06405646
Summary
This study aims to understand if the levels of certain receptors in the blood are linked to chronic pain in the jaw and face muscles. Researchers will compare 51 people with this pain to 51 people without it, checking blood samples and having participants fill out questionnaires about their pain and stress. The goal is to gather knowledge about potential biological markers for this type of pain, not to test a treatment.
