CBD cream or capsule? study reveals how hemp oil gets into your blood

NCT ID NCT07359976

First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looked at whether CBD and THC from a hemp-based cosmetic product can be detected in the blood after a single use, either as a cream on the skin or taken by mouth. Twenty healthy adults tried both methods, with a 15-day break in between. The goal was simply to measure how the body absorbs these compounds, not to treat or prevent any disease.
