Researchers test if safer, Low-Dose dental scans are just as clear

NCT ID NCT07442474

Summary

This study aimed to see if dental cone-beam CT (CBCT) scans using much less radiation could still produce clear images of an important nerve canal in the jaw. Researchers compared low-dose scans to standard high-dose scans in 20 people with healthy jaws. The goal was to find out if reducing radiation exposure for patients could be done without losing important diagnostic details.
