New solution tested to keep feeding tubes flowing in sick kids
NCT ID NCT05879835
Summary
This study is testing if a new solution (4% Tetrasodium EDTA) used to lock feeding tubes is better than the standard solution (heparin) at preventing dangerous blockages. It involves 124 children with intestinal failure who rely on feeding tubes for nutrition. The goal is to see if the new lock solution reduces tube blockages and related complications over a one-year period.
