Doctors use eye scans to see if neck catheters raise brain pressure
NCT ID NCT07465419
Summary
This study aims to understand if placing a catheter in a major neck vein affects pressure inside the skull of sedated ICU patients. Researchers will use a safe, non-invasive ultrasound scan of the eye to measure brain pressure before and after the catheter is placed. The goal is to gather knowledge to improve the safety of this common ICU procedure.
