Race against time: two methods tested to unblock chemo catheters

NCT ID NCT05100355

Summary

This study compared two common methods for fixing chemotherapy catheters that won't draw blood back. Researchers tested whether using contrast dye or a simpler chest X-ray with saline flush worked better for 92 cancer patients. They measured which method caused less delay in treatment and was safer and more cost-effective.
