NCT ID NCT07149506
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking green tea compounds (catechins) by mouth or applying them to the skin can help prevent or treat the painful skin reactions that often happen during radiation therapy for cancer. About 162 cancer patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the catechin treatment or a placebo, in addition to their standard care. The goal is to see if these natural compounds reduce skin redness, peeling, and long-term scarring.
