New iPhone app aims to catch fall risk before a fall happens

NCT ID NCT05544760

Summary

This study is testing a new iPhone app called CatchU, which uses simple sensory and reaction-time tests to try to identify older adults who are at higher risk for falling. Researchers are enrolling 84 adults aged 65 and older in the New York area to see if the app's results can predict who might experience a fall over the next two years. The goal is to create a tool doctors can use during check-ups to start conversations about fall prevention and help people stay independent.
