Eye surgery gel proves safe in major trial

NCT ID NCT05575063

Summary

This study tested a new version of a clear gel used to protect the eye during cataract surgery. Researchers compared it to the standard gel in 165 people who had surgery on both eyes. The main goal was to see if the new gel was just as safe and effective at protecting the delicate inner layer of the cornea.
