Scientists hunt for clues to prevent Post-Surgery eye discomfort
NCT ID NCT05802550
Summary
This study aimed to find biological markers that could predict which patients might develop dry eye or other surface problems after cataract surgery. Researchers collected tiny samples of fluid and cells from the eye's surface before and during surgery from 100 participants. By analyzing these samples, they hoped to identify early warning signs that could help doctors provide more personalized care to prevent discomfort and protect vision after surgery.
