Summary

This study tested a 6-week program where kids aged 10-12 with developmental disabilities learned to train and walk their family cat on a leash. The goal was to see if this activity improved the child's physical activity, social wellbeing, and their bond with their cat. Researchers also wanted to see if the cats became less stressed and more social.
