New combo therapy and surgery shows promise for advanced bladder cancer

Summary
This study tests a standard treatment of two drugs (enfortumab vedotin and pembrolizumab) followed by surgery to remove part or all of the bladder or urinary tract in people with advanced bladder cancer that has spread. The goal is to see if this approach helps patients live longer without the cancer growing. About 75 adults with locally advanced or metastatic bladder or upper urinary tract cancer will take part.
