First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested whether using bandages printed with cartoon characters could help children aged 6-11 feel less fear, stress, and pain during burn dressing changes. 42 children with second-degree burns were randomly assigned to receive either cartoon-printed or plain bandages. The goal was to see if the fun designs could distract and comfort them, making the procedure easier to handle.
