Needle vs. sound waves: new study tests two carpal tunnel relief methods

NCT ID NCT07269613

Summary

This study compares two different office-based procedures for treating carpal tunnel syndrome. Researchers will test whether ultrasound-guided pulsed radiofrequency or an enzyme injection called hyaluronidase works better to relieve pain and improve hand function. The study will follow 56 adults with mild to moderate carpal tunnel symptoms for six months to see which treatment provides longer-lasting relief.
