First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at two treatment plans for carpal tunnel syndrome, which causes hand numbness and pain. One plan starts with up to two steroid injections, then offers surgery if needed. The other plan goes straight to surgery. About 258 adults with mild to moderate symptoms will be followed for two years to see which approach works better.
