NCT ID NCT05306548
First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at two treatment paths for carpal tunnel syndrome, a condition that causes numbness and pain in the hand. One group gets up to two steroid injections first, then surgery only if needed. The other group goes straight to surgery. Researchers want to see if both approaches work equally well one year later. About 258 adults with mild to moderate symptoms are taking part.
