Surgeons probe mystery link between wrist surgery and hand heel pain

NCT ID NCT07375134

Summary

This study aims to understand if the thickness of a ligament in the wrist is related to developing pain in the heel of the hand after carpal tunnel surgery. Researchers will observe 144 patients who have the standard surgery, measuring the ligament during the operation and tracking their pain levels afterward. The goal is to gather knowledge that might help predict or explain this specific type of postoperative pain.
